Contribute to a vocabulary Google Slide document! This will be collaborative, which means every person in our class will have access to the document to add new words (and edit words that aren't quite correct).
Where do you find the vocabulary? Anywhere!
Your first port of call is your spelling words - which words do you know? Which ones are you unsure of?
What about your text for reading? Which words stump you? Which ones did you learn this week? Mrs Clay's vocabulary - did Mrs Clay say a word you didn't quite understand? Did she use a cool word you'd like to use more often?
Once you have identified a list of words you'd like to include, you can then start preparing for including them in our document! This is a fantastic website www.wordhippo.com/ which will help you.
RULES of 6e's Vocab Google Slide:
1. your words must be in alphabetical order
2. you are able to change the style and layout of ONLY the words you contribute
3. you may alter the spelling of someone else's slide if you spot a mistake, and then must speak to the person who made the error to let them know you've fixed it.
4. on the slide you must include:
the word,
it's meaning,
a sentence including the word,
a simile,
an antonym,
and another word which rhymes with it.
5. you may present it however you wish, but it must be easy to read.
